- The copyright owner is normally the person who has taken the image; however, if you give someone your camera and ask them to take a photograph for you, you would normally retain the copyright.
(If you are not the copyright owner it is common courtesy to give the photographer credit in these circumstances; this may be required as a condition of use.)
Comments Policy

Transliving welcomes all respectful comments on our article pages; this doesn't mean that you need to agree with what is written, but if you don't we ask that you do so with courtesy and understanding.
Here are some guidelines:
- To comment you need to have an account (provided by Disqus) - we don't accept anonymous comments.
- We don't tolerate racism, sexism, transphobia or hate speech of any kind.
- We welcome a wide diversity of opinion. Healthy debate is welcome, and discussion is expected. We ask that you listen to and respect other peoples' viewpoints.
- Please be polite and courteous in your use of language.
- Avoid personal attacks on individuals.
- We will ban and remove comments that are spam, pornographic, insulting or hate speech.
- We do not allow advertising or publication of tokens or other promotions.
- We reserve the right to block offenders from future commenting.
