A Day in the Studio

Sophie Summers

As a crossdresser and makeup artist, …

… my journey has always been about transformation and self-expression. Running a dressing service, I often find myself behind the camera, capturing the newfound confidence and beauty of my clients. However, it had been years since I stepped in front of the lens myself. That changed recently when I decided to have a professional photoshoot with Sean along with my dear friend Gloria.

The day started with a mix of excitement and a hint of nervousness. The drive to the studio, a quaintly renovated barn set in the countryside, felt like a journey into the long-forgotten past, a chance to rediscover a side of myself that had been dormant for too long. As I approached the studio, its rustic charm and serene surroundings set the perfect tone for our adventure.

Each click of the shutter felt like a celebration
of self-expression and empowerment

I was greeted by Sean’s warm smile and easy-going demeanour upon arrival. We chatted briefly about the plan for the day, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of calm wash over me. Sean’s passion for photography was evident, and his enthusiasm was contagious. With Sean’s approval we filmed the entire process for my YouTube channel, Crossdressing Lifestyle, hoping to inspire others to explore their looks through the magic of photography.

As the camera clicked away, I was reminded of the thrill and excitement of being a ‘model’ for the day. Sean’s ability to make me feel at ease was remarkable. He guided me through different poses, offering gentle corrections and encouragement. Time seemed to fly by as we moved from one set to another. Each click of the shutter felt like a celebration of self-expression and empowerment.

It was as if I had reconnected with a part
of myself that I had forgotten.

Being in front of the camera again was a deeply emotional experience. I felt a renewed sense of confidence and joy. It was as if I had reconnected with a part of myself that I had forgotten. The whole day was not just about taking photos but about rediscovering my own beauty and strength.

The photographs Sean produced were nothing short of magical. His creative eye captured moments of vulnerability and strength, transforming them into works of art. Each image told a story, reflecting not just my outer appearance but my inner journey as well. Sean’s talent in making one feel comfortable, and his artistic vision, truly shone through in every shot.

Sean’s professionalism and warmth made it easy
to forget about the camera and simply enjoy the moment.

The atmosphere throughout the shoot was incredibly relaxed. There were moments of laughter and genuine connection, making the experience even more special. Sean’s professionalism and warmth made it easy to forget about the camera and simply enjoy the moment.

By filming this experience, I hope to encourage others to explore their looks through photography.
