Be a Party Girl!

It’s a State of Mind

As the summer winds down, the party season gears up. Who doesn’t love to be a party girl? Vivacious, flirtatious, glamorous – and always at the centre of a knot of fascinated admirers. That’s the life for me!!

The Party Girl look is not so much a fashion statement as a state of mind. If you don’t feel in party mood, then no amount of bright and colourful clothing will lift your spirits. But if you are feeling confident and extrovert, a party outfit that attracts everybody’s attention just increases your quotient of fun – and everyone else’s! The true party girl gives back as much as she takes and adds to everyone’s happiness and enjoyment.

Be a Party Flirt!

Rebecca George | TransLiving International articles

Modelling these party looks in the studio – instead of at an actual party, bar or club – I had to put myself into the right mood. Josie, my stylist and photographer, had me in bold make-up, with a sassy blonde hairstyle. We put on dance music and draped the set in party streamers – more and more of them as the shoot went on! We used wine bottles and glasses as props. And – to break the ice – I started the shoot with the most revealing dress we had, a shiny gold halter-neck creation with an exceptionally deep and plunging cleavage!

As we were shooting in the studio and not on location, I was wearing bib-fronted breast forms. These allowed me to model this and other low-cut dresses as they were meant to be seen! People say I am a flirt and an exhibitionist, and a super-sexy dress like this one really brings out that side of me! We were off – and having fun! I began shamelessly seducing the camera.

Showing a Leg

The next dress I modelled is revealing in a different way: an orange spaghetti-strap cocktail gown. This one doesn’t have a plunge cleavage but is quite low-cut. A t-girl wearing this dress in public would have to choose a well-fitting strapless bra to keep everything in its proper place!

This orange dress is also extremely short and needs careful management when sitting down, standing up or crossing your legs – to make sure that flirtatiousness doesn’t become outright indecency! I was wearing sheer-to-waist pantyhose, with my panties etcetera worn under the hose. This ensured a nice smooth transition up my thighs – as far as an admiring glance might see!

Classy but Flirty

Rebecca George | TransLiving International articles

There is something very exciting about what I would call the “classy but flirty” style. This is the look of a confident woman sitting by herself in a cocktail bar, knowing she is a magnet for every admirer’s gaze – and that she won’t be sitting alone for very long…

Two dresses for this shoot fit the “classy but flirty” description. The red glittery cocktail dress with its sheer puff sleeves and the white asymmetrical off-shoulder maribou-fringed ensemble. Both dresses are short, striking, dramatic, and certain to make an impact when worn by a lady who exudes self-confidence. Unlike the gold and orange dresses, these gowns are not overtly revealing – yet still convey a frivolous and exciting mood. Dresses such as these invite the wearer to perform for her audience, relishing being the centre of attention. Frivolous details such as the sheer sleeves and the maribou trim spell “party time”, so it’s up to you to work the dresses to command the admiration you deserve.

Alluring Nostalgia

My final selection was a fifties Rockabilly swing dress, worn (naturally!) with a multi-layered petticoat. Totally unlike the revealing party dresses modelled earlier, this dainty and ultrafeminine look also made me feel super-flirty! By this stage in the shoot, we had completely covered the set in party streamers. Josie and I decided I should play the part of a respectable girl who has become just a little bit tipsy and was losing her sense of decorum! I had also laddered a stocking by this point, so we went with the flow of this accident as a feature for the shoot. I became an ultrafeminine party princess – a little the worse for wear, collapsing on the floor with my stockings hopelessly ripped!!! And to be honest, the exhaustion wasn’t entirely acting – at the end of such an energetic shoot.

My thanks go once again to Josie at Adam and Eve’s for styling and photographing this shoot. See you all again soon!
